Physical property
Its hemihydrate is a needle like crystal (water) and it turns into anhydrous compound at 110 ℃;  the melting point is 208 ℃;the solubility in water at 25 is 4%, and the solubility in hot water is even higher; easily soluble in alcohol and acetone, very slightly soluble in ethyl acetate, and soluble in chloroform, ether, benzene, and other lipophilic organic solvent.
